WHO WE ARE
Cemiyetul Hayir Relief Organisation (CHRO) is a charitable organization registered in The Gambia.
CHRO was sounded in 2000as charitable and non profit making organization with sole aim and objective is supporting the less privileged and strengthening communities across The Gambia. We are driven by a deep sense of responsibility to serve humanity, particularly those facing hardship, poverty, and limited access to basic necessities.
Our work focuses on impactful and sustainable initiatives such as food aid distribution, clean water access through borehole projects, mosque construction, and educational support for children. Through these efforts, we aim not only to meet immediate needs but also to create long-term positive change in the lives of individuals and communities.
At the heart of everything we do is a sincere intention to uplift lives, restore dignity, and bring hope to those in need.
Food Aid Programs
We distribute food packages, especially during Ramadan, ensuring families do not go hungry. These packages include essential items such as rice, sugar, oil, and other basic necessities to support households throughout the holy month.

Water Projects
We sponsor borehole drilling to provide clean and safe drinking water to communities in need
Mosque Development
We build and support mosques to enhance worship and community unity
Education Support
Building schools, Qur’anic schools, and supporting students with learning materials.
(Tobaski) Projects
We distribute sacrificial meat to families during Eid, bringing joy and relief.
Medina Salam Orphanage
We support the Medina Salam Orphanage by providing care, food, and essential needs to orphaned children, ensuring they grow in a safe and nurturing environment.
The Lamin CDC Mosque
The Lamin CDC Mosque Opening was a significant milestone supported by Cemiyetul Hayir Relief, marking the establishment of a new place of worship for the local community.
